Dreamcatcher Ranch
News
LEX
Dreamcatcher Ranch has a new addition to the ranch, a very handsome Appendix gelding, Lexington. He is coming 5 years old, and will be in full training when the spring arrives here. Two weeks of sunny weather gave us opportunity to work a few of the horses, and Lex was one. He was calm, relaxed and most often willing to play with the girls riding up the hill and even went over the little ascending oxer at the top. I think he is bound to be a favorite of many campers. A big thanks to Chelsea for finding him....
ALEX AND JILLIAN WIN IN COMPETITION

MOLLY HAS A NEW OWNER
Molly is happily showing her new owner, Ashley, around the Hunter courses at the shows in Sacramento
MEGAN PONY MOVES TO WASHINGTON
Megan pony is now with our counselor, Katrina living in Spokane, WA. She is doing great and roaming a pasture with two other horses. This was a suprise for Katrina, since last summer she was driving her Mom crazy about Megan, and how fun she is to ride. She is in training at a H/J barn and the trainer loves her.
CAROL IS A GRAMMA!!!!
Precious moments to be held with my new grandson, Hayden William Brooks. This new addition created new space for more LOVE in my life. Looking into his big blue eyes reflected the wonderful years of raising my children. Hayden celebrated his first birthday at Dreamcatcher Ranch with all of his cousins having pony rides on Kari. Mom and Dad are enjoying every moment of their life with Hayden, and have decided to add to their family, as Hayden will be meeting his baby sister this July.
JOANIES GRAND DAUGHTERS VISIT CAMP
As each camp season goes by, Joanie's two beautiful grand daughters come to be a part of camp. The girls, Elle and Lauren (now 5 & 4 years old) of course love the attention. The campers too enjoy playing in the pool with the little ones and giving pony rides. Yia Yia (aka Joanie) tries to visit the girls in Colorado often throughout the year. This Christmas we enjoyed special time in Vail with the girls, going on a sleigh ride and riding the gondola.
NICOLETTE HAS A NEW JOB
Nicolette is now a guardian angel for her baby sister, Serendipity, who was only 7 weeks old when her mother, Jasmine developed serious colic and died at U C Davis during surgery. "Sere" came to us after her traumatic loss to heal and hopefully bond with one of our girls. Nicolette was a perfect match for the job, as she protected Sere and taught her the lessons she needed to know to be compatiable in the human world. They are now both thriving on the Grannick's ranch up the hill, where Gulliver lives as well. Pam and Bruce plan to continue breeding the Canadian Horse and has purchased Nicolette to be the foundation mare in place of Jasmine.

GIRLS CIRCLES
This year we will be facilitating a gender specific program promoting resiliency in girls both in the camps and in our community. The "purpose is to encourage the development of girls' strengths, confidence, skills and healthy relationships so girls are able to take full advantage of their talents, academic interests, and career pursuits." The circles are "uniquely positioned to address and challenge cultural messages and social practices that limit and distort girls' self-image and impede growth." We believe that the camp format is an appropriate venue for such a valuable activity and are proud to bring this opportunity to our campers.
